Club Trips and Events

The Club hires the Riverside Pool each Wednesday night 7.30-8.45pm for Club members & non-members alike to train & practice kayak techniques indoors in warm water.

Instruction in rolling technique is usually available from Club mentors. See website under “TRAINING” for details as to costs and requirements.

Time to practise these basic skills no matter your level.
Meet at Baigents Reserve at the end of Kina Peninsula.
Training for beginners and practise for all in wet exits, assisted and self rescues.
Bring food, hot drink and change of clothes
More experienced paddlers encouraged to come and help David and mentor the beginners
It's really important to keep these skills up to date, think of it as your annual kayak WOF.

Leave from Okiwi Bay and explore the expansive Croiselle harbour.
There are interesting bays, lagoon, inlets, rocky coastline, bays and Islands to explore on this 2 day trip.
We will camp on one of the islands.

Travel time is 1 and a half hours from Richmond. Sharing transport encouraged.
