Club Trips and Events

The Club hires the Riverside Pool each Wednesday night 7.30-8.45pm for Club members & non-members alike to train & practice kayak techniques indoors in warm water.

Instruction in rolling technique is usually available from Club mentors. See website under “TRAINING” for details as to costs and requirements.

This will be the last session for this year due to pool maintenance

Paddle the Northern end of Abel Tasman.
Leaving from Tata Beach head around Tata Islands then explore the rocky coastal islands and arches at the entrance to Wainui Bay.
Stop at the historic Maori Pa site at Taupo Point beach before crossing the bay at Wharawhirangi and onwards around Separation Pt.
Watch the seals play on the rocks as you arrive in Mutton cove.
Camping at DOC Mutton Cove campsite.
Book your own campsite through the DOC Abel Tasman Great Walk online booking system.

Mapua estuary paddle & social lunch

Join us for a Christmas paddle on the Mapua estuary on the incoming tide as it fills to a whopping 4.2m high tide at 10.30 am
Bring some refreshments and food for a social Christmas early lunch after the paddle.

Event will start from Rough Island. details when you register.
