Rai River

Rai River provides a gentle introduction to river kayaking. Starting in a big wide pool downstream of Rai Falls there are lots of opportunities to practice in easy eddies. Gorgoeus podocarp forest around. There are one or two little chutes that will challenge your new-found skills, but you will be so proud of yourself when you make it down. As well as the members of the 2017 beginner kayaking course, the club welcomes all beginner-intermediate paddlers who have paddled grade 2 before.
