Launch from Stephens Bay and paddle round the coast to Otuwhero inlet behind the sandspit at Marahau.
On the way we can check out the inlet at the start of Ngaio Bay, Split Apple rock/Tokongawha and the caves next to it.
Round the corner into Sandy Bay is some great rock gardening coast then Otuwhero inlet opens up with many channels to explore.
