When executive producer Glenn Murdoch and Bill Parks began discussing the project, they were not interested in making the classic extreme sports film. They instead wanted to make something that highlighted the vast majority of the kayaking world – the young, the old, the weekend warriors, the beginners and the perpetual intermediates. Combined with a look at wild New Zealand rivers, this is a glimpse into what whitewater means to the community who love it.
“The movie covers the river recreation spectrum …. It encourages new-comers into the sport with down-to-earth clips of the “wow” moments of learning the sport, as well as celebrate the exploits of the elite… interesting history of the sport, as well as great coverage of rivers country-wide.”
Trevor James, Whitewater Officer, Nelson Canoe Club.
