Bob Gordon received the club's highest honour last night at the Annual General Meeting. Bob has done an inordinate amount of work for the club with over 11 years on the committee including 5 years as president and 6 as treasurer. "Over this time he has been 'hands on' with many aspects of the club from instructing at pool sessions, fixing gear, river conservation, beginner courses as well as the core officer duties", said Trevor James in his tribute to Bob at the meeting. Bob signalled that he wishes to retire from the committee. However when no one came forward when nominations for treasurer were called, Bob offerred to continue as treasurer until someone is elected to the position.
