By joining the club you will have access to the range of club activities and resources:

If you are inexperienced, you'll be safer paddling with the club whose leaders are experienced and competent. Members can join trips and events, subject to leader assessment of ability for the trip. Non-members can join two trips to sample the club, but thereafter are asked to join up.
The website events page will list trips as they are organised.
The club is a good way to connect with other paddlers and meet new friends.
The newsletter is produced approximately each month and is sent to members by email by preference, or by snail mail if you are not wired for email.
Racing practice and events that are organised by the club are only open to members and those trialling the discipline for two events. The 'Harbour Blast' series is open to non-members (costs $3pp) but is free to members. Trophies will only be winnable by members.
Members get access to pool sessions for $5. Non-members pay $10.
Members get access to hire club gear at half the rate that non-members would pay. Non-members cannot hire gear without cooperation of a member (they must be on the same trip).
Discounts at local stores selling kayaking gear.

Your membership fees are used to:

Purchase new gear for club members
Administer the club
Engage with conservation lobbying
Complimentary membership of the New Zealand Recreational Canoe Club (NZRCA) giving access to newsletters, discounts and national level support for conservation efforts
