Upper Wairau River – 14 Dec

Wairau River from Coldwater Creek (well upstream of the Rainbow Skifield turn off). This trip is mostly Grade 2+, so suitable for those who have done the beginner course and a little more. For those paddling grade 3-3+ you are in for so much fun with Hell's Gate and Hamilton's Rapids bookending the trip.
Very different to other rivers we paddle with superb mountain scenery and boulder garden rapids.
A long day, but a really good one.
