Leave from Delaware Bay Estuary and paddle North to Hori Bay, explore the rocky arches and caves nearby and return. This will be quite a long day but a leisurely paddle, leaving on the outgoing tide early in the morning, about 8 am and returning into Delaware Bay as the tide comes in after 4 pm. Be prepared to transport kayaks up to 30 meteres across the sand flats to meet the water, and return to the put in site. Bring wheels if you have them, the sand is reasonably firm. At Hori Bay enjoy a leisurely lunch, swim and walk on the loop track. The put in area is at the end of the public part of Maori Pa Road, which is the last turn off to the right on your way to Cable Bay. There is a small slipway to launch boats froms. High tides are 0615 and 1900
