The Club hires the Riverside Pool each Wed night 7.30-8.45pm for Club members & non-members alike to train & practice kayak techniques indoors in warm water.

Delaware Bay to Hori Bay – 30th March

Leave from Delaware Bay Estuary and paddle North to Hori Bay, explore the rocky arches and caves nearby and return.
This will be quite a long day but a leisurely paddle, leaving on the outgoing tide early in the morning, about 8 am and returning into Delaware Bay as the tide comes in after 4 pm.
Be prepared to transport kayaks up to 30 meteres across the sand flats to meet the water, and return to the put in site.
Bring wheels if you have them, the sand is reasonably firm.
At Hori Bay enjoy a leisurely lunch, swim and walk on the loop track.
The put in area is at the end of the public part of Maori Pa Road, which is the last turn off to the right on your way to Cable Bay.
There is a small slipway to launch boats froms.
High tides are 0615 and 1900

Totaranui sea kayaking mid week paddle – 31 March to 4 April 2019

Meet on Sunday afternoon/evening. Paddle on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to be decided by group depending on weather.
Option B: Marahau to Totaranui big paddle staying at Totaranui on middle night. Paddlers to arrange rest of trip themselves.
Staying at Totaranui bach with a double bedroom, bunkroom for 4 people and camping for 5. Maximum 11 people. Cost $15 per person per night. Book you and your room mates and which nights you want to stay.
